The Premier Soccer League has confirmed that Saturday’s Nedbank Cup final between Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United at Loftus Versfeld Stadium has been sold out.
The final will take place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, which becomes the 12th different stadium to host the final in 16 years.
On Thursday, the PSL confirmed that tickets for the highly anticipated match have been sold out.
It will be Pirates’ fifth final since Nedbank took over the sponsorship and the Buccaneers have won two – beating Black Leopards 3-1 in 2011 and Bidvest Wits by the same scoreline in 2014, while losing twice to SuperSport United, 3-2 in 2016 and 4-1 in 2017.
Meanwhile, Sekhukhune United have reached their first ever Nedbank Cup final and could lift the club’s first major trophy.
Both Jose Riveiro and Brandon Truter could lift their first Nedbank Cup trophy, with the Spanish tactician potentially claiming the double in his debut campaign.
The game will kick off at 18:00 on Saturday. Gates open at 14h00 and ticket holders are urged to arrive early. It will also be broadcast live on SABC1 and SuperSport 2.
