PSL-Bound Striker Awarded In Cameroon

Cape Town City look set to sign Cameroon striker Bertrand Mani in the January transfer window as they continue to bolster their attacking options.

The Citizens have long been in the market for a reliable number nine since losing Kermit Erasmus two seasons ago and have now seemingly found their man.

Mani, 25, has been training with the club for over a month after an impressive season in the MTN Ligue 1 in his homeland, Cameroon.

Last week he scooped the Ballon D’Or Camerounais best striker for finishing as the league’s top scorer with Colombe Sportive, netting 20 goals.

Mani is likely to put pen to paper in the coming weeks where he will look to build on his career when he joins compatriot Brice Ambina at City.

Citizens head coach has been impressed by the powerful forward and with the club scoring only 11 goals in their opening 12 fixtures, it’s a department in need of reinforcement.
