Prince Kaybee features in ‘YFA’ series

South African music producer and DJ Prince Kaybee is set to make his reality TV debut after joining the popular Netflix series Young, Famous & African.

The update was shared by entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, who took to his X account to break the news.

“Prince Kaybee joins a reality show. Music producer and DJ, Prince Kaybee, has jumped into the reality TV fray and will be featured in the popular Young, Famous & African series for its upcoming season currently in production,” Mphela wrote.

The announcement quickly sparked conversation online, with fans of the show and social media users weighing in on the casting choice.

While some welcomed the DJ’s addition, a large portion of the discussion focused on his age, with critics questioning whether the 39-year-old fits the show’s “young” branding.

One X user commented, “They need to lose that young in their name badala labantu lol,” while another bluntly asked, “Is he young and famous?”

Despite the debate, many fans congratulated Prince Kaybee on the move and expressed excitement about seeing what he will bring to the series, especially given his outspoken personality and established career in the music industry.

Meanwhile, rapper Nadia Nakai, who has been part of Young, Famous & African since its debut, will not be returning for the upcoming season, adding another layer of intrigue to the show’s new lineup.
