The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry reportedly made a secret visit to another family member during his trip to the UK when he reunited with King Charles after 19 months.
PRINCE HARRY MADE ‘SECRET VISIT’ TO ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER WHILE IN UK
Hello! reported that Prince Harry privately visited Kensington Palace to “personally pay his respects and offer condolences” to the Duke of Kent, Prince Edward following the death of his wife, Katharine. The Duchess of Kent passed away on 4 September at the age of 92.
Prince Harry was unable to attend Katharine’s funeral on 16 September as he had already departed from the UK. However, a source says that Prince Harry “loved catching up with family, friends and colleagues.”
“His only regret was not being able to stay longer and see more people, but the meetings in Ukraine had been in the diary for a long time, and it mattered to him to be there in person to see the Invictus Games Foundation’s growing work and the progress at Superhumans,” the source told the publication.
PRINCE HARRY REUNITED WITH KING CHARLES AFTER 19 MONTHS
While in the UK, Prince Harry reunited with his father, King Charles after 19 months. The last time Prince Harry reportedly saw the monarch was in February 2024, when his father revealed that he was being treated for cancer. King Charles did not disclose the type of cancer.
According to People, Prince Harry was seen arriving by car to King Charles’ London residence around 17:20 on 10 September. The publication reports that he was inside for an estimated 55 minutes before he left.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that the King had a private tea at Clarence House with Prince Harry and stated no further details would be shared. Prince Harry was reportedly in the UK to support some of his charities.
