President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a stern warning against the recent wave of truck torchings in South Africa, emphasizing that the government will not tolerate lawlessness in the country.

Over the course of less than a week, a total of 20 trucks have been set on fire in various locations, including KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo.

Speaking at the National Rural Youth Service Corps (NARYSEC) pass-out parade, Ramaphosa condemned those responsible for these acts of violence, stating that they are causing disorder and destroying the economic assets of the nation.

The president made it clear that the government will take decisive action against those involved in these criminal activities, ensuring that they face the full force of the law.

Law enforcement agencies, including the police and intelligence services, have been directed to spare no effort in tracking down the perpetrators.

Ramaphosa stressed that South Africa cannot allow individuals who act with impunity, causing harm to people and disrupting traffic, to go unpunished.
