Police probe gruesome discovery of dismembered bodies on Mpumalanga plot

- Two dismembered bodies were discovered on a plot in the Kranspoort area of Mpumalanga.
- Police have taken three suspects in for questioning, though no charges have been filed yet.
- Authorities have opened a murder case and pledged to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.
Mpumalanga police are investigating the gruesome discovery of two murdered victims on a plot in the Kranspoort area along the N11 Groblersdal Road.
Officers responded to a complaint on the property, where they discovered the dismembered bodies of two unknown victims. All relevant role players, including specialised units, were summoned to the scene and processed it.
Three suspects have since been taken in for questioning, although no formal charges have been laid.
Police spokesperson Fundiswa Maphanga confirmed that a case of murder has been opened and investigations are currently underway.
“The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga, Major General Zeph Mkhwanazi, strongly condemned the incident and assured the public that the police will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those responsible face the full might of the law,” she said.
