KZN police spokesman Colonel Robert Netshiunda also revealed that there were no updates as yet on the investigations.

“Police will provide progress in due course,” he said.

AKA, whose real name was Kiernan Forbes and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were gunned down at The Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban on 10 February.

CCTV footage that was widely circulated showed gunmen ambushing and killing them before running on foot.

In February, KZN commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi said the cops have ideas about who the killers are.

“We have not yet arrested anyone but interviewed different people and obtained statements. We have also collected cellphones and are busy downloading some of them. We have also received our ballistic report from forensics, so there is still work the team is busy with,” he had said at the time.
