Premier Soccer League prosecutor Zola Majavu has confirmed the date when Cape Town City chairman John Comitis is set to appear before Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee.

Comitis has been asked to appear before PSL DC for charges of bringing the league into disrepute and Majavu confirmed on Thursday that this hearing, which was supposed to take place on 29 April, was moved to 19 May.

“Further update is that I can confirm that Mr. John Comitis will also be appearing before the PSL DC on 19 May 2022 to answer to charges of bringing the League into disrepute on account of the allegations he made on various social media platforms,”

“I can also confirm that this matter was previously postponed to the 19th at the request of Mr.Comitis, which request was succeeded to by the PSL DC and not opposed by myself as a prosecutor.

“In the result we are hopeful that the matter will be finalized on the 19th of May and once the outcome thereof has been arrived at by the PSL DC I will similarly make it public.

“As always until then, no further comment will be entertained by me.”
