Pitso Mosimane has revelled in his latest title success after winning the Saudi Yelo League title on Tuesday evening.
The South African tactician had already fulfilled his mandate to bring the Jeddah giants back into the Saudi Pro League after securing promotion three weeks ago.
On Tuesday, they put the cherry on top, securing the Yelo League (Saudi First Division) title after beating Al-Qadisiyah 1-0, while rivals Al Akhdood lost 3-2 to Al Sahel and even dropped into third spot.
It was Mosimane’s 19th title of his career and he rightfully enjoyed the limelight on the night, amid rumours the club leadership have opted against activating a one-year option to extend his contract.
He also seems aware of the situation around his future and stated he is now waiting for the “next project” after successful stints at SuperSport United, Mamelodi Sundowns, Al Ahly in Egypt and now Al Ahli Saudi.
“Humbled. Lots of tactical and physical training sessions. Lots of group and individual video analysis, one on one mental & motivational talks. Lots of hard work, mistakes done and corrections. Arguments, tears & hugs. Then the trophy, Champions! 9 months! Khalas [enough, it’s done],” he wrote on social media.
“[We] delivered on our mandate of promoting the team to Premier League, and tonight of winning the Championship! In any League or Competition, Country or Continent, we catch Big Fish! Nile River before and tonight in the Red Sea. Waiting for the next Project.”
