Pitso Mosimane has suffered his third defeat with Al Ahli Saudi after they went down to 10 men inside the first half in a 2-1 defeat Al Arabi.

Al Ahli scored the opener against six-placed Al Arabi after just 20 minutes via Modou Barrow, but were reduced to 10 men in the 38th minute when Mohammed Al Rubaie was shown a red card.

It allowed the visitors a way back into the game and they were on the scoresheet after 41 minutes, when Ablaye Mbengue converted from the penalty spot.

They found the winner in the 76th minute, when Wesam Wahib found the back of the net.

Despite the defeat, Al Ahli remained three points clear at the top of the log with 65 points, three points ahead of second-placed Al Akhdood, who have a game in hand.

Mosimane’s side secured promotion last week, but are still playing for the title of the Yelo League.

Overall, Mosimane has picked up 16 wins, six draws and now three defeats since taking charge of Al Ahli.
