Pitso Mosimane has sent a message to Benni McCarthy and Daine Klate over the latter’s sacking from Chippa United.
Klate, 37, was relieved of his duties as Chippa head coach on Thursday after just seven games in charge, as reported by iDiski Times and later confirmed by Klate and his agent.
The young coach has since received several messages of support, including warm words from his former Orlando Pirates teammate McCarthy, who is now first-team coach at Manchester United.
Mosimane, who is currently without a job after leaving Egyptian giants Al Ahly, thanked McCarthy for his kind words for Klate.
“Benni McCarthy, thanks for showing leadership and bravery to support Daine Klate. He showed a lot determination and passion. He still has a lot of time on his side in this space,” he stated on social media.

Mosimane then sent another direct message to Klate following his short debut stint in coaching.
“You have everything on your side to make it, and we are there to support you in everything you need,” he added.
“Benni McCarthy is a genuine person and will never leave you in the lurch. When I first saw you playing for Sports School and I said, he is the one! Rest is history.”
Chippa will have their first game without Klate on the sidelines, facing AmaZulu, with Morgan Mammila expected to take charge of caretaker manager.
