Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has praised his fitness coach Kabelo Rangoaga ahead of his side’s CAF Champions League clash with Al Merrikh SC.
The defending champions are under pressure ahead of their final two Group A fixtures after losing twice to Mamelodi Sundowns.
As a consequence, Al Ahly, Merrikh and Al Hilal Omdurman currently sit on four points in the group.
Mosimane, though, remains confident in his players as well as his technical team, including fitness coach Rangoaga.
“We have one goal ahead of us and that is to win tomorrow’s game. It’s normal to work under pressure in football, as we are expected to win the competition we play in,” he said ahead of Friday’s Merrikh match.
“We are only focused on Friday’s game. We are preparing well for it with the help of our fitness coach, Kabelo Rangoaga, who works very well for the team.
“I prefer to work under the current circumstances with a team like Al Ahly, who is accustomed to winning everything. We have a lot of players with great experiences that are able to deliver the objectives.”
Al Ahly face Merrikh on Friday, 18:30, with the match taking place at Al Ahly Stadium after the Sudanese side couldn’t get any of their home venues approved by CAF.
