Pitso Mosimane Declines Invitation to Appear on MacG’s Podcast and Chill

Fans of Pitso Mosimane, the former coach of Al Ahli Saudi, have been eagerly anticipating his appearance on MacG’s popular podcast, Podcast and Chill. After his recent move to Al Wahda FC in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Pro League, followers of the podcast have been calling for Pitso to make an appearance. One social media user even pleaded, “May we please try [and] get Pitso Mosimane on the show Podcast and Chill with MacG while he is still in the country.”

The Podcast’s Response

Unfortunately for fans, it seems that Pitso will not be appearing on the podcast any time soon. The podcast’s co-host Sol Phenduka responded to the plea, explaining that Pitso declined the invitation due to the podcast’s association with an alcohol brand. “He said he can’t come, he works with Arabs. So you know ‘Haram vibes’ since he works for Muslims,” said Sol. “Even if we don’t drink on his interview but it’s a platform where we drink and stuff, it makes sense. Maybe one day when he’s managing in Europe.”

Pitso’s Move to Al Wahda FC

Pitso Mosimane recently signed with Al Wahda FC after parting ways with Saudi Arabian side Al Ahli, the club he helped get promoted from the second division Yelo League to the top league last season. He is joining the team with trusted lieutenants and compatriots Kabelo Rangoaga, Musi Matlaba, Kyle Solomon and Maahier Davids, who perform various duties behind the scenes.

Congratulations from Sports Minister Zizi Kodwa

Sports, arts and culture minister Zizi Kodwa congratulated Pitso on his move, expressing confidence that he would deliver his trademark excellent coaching at the UAE club. “I congratulated the coach on his move. We know all too well that Pitso is going to deliver his trademark excellent coaching there and we wish him all the best. South Africa stands behind him as he represents our nation in the world of football,” said Kodwa.

Pitso’s Response

Pitso Mosimane replied to Kodwa’s congratulations by thanking him for his support and expressing his commitment to youth football development in South Africa. “Thank you, minister, I really appreciate your support. The Pitso Mosimane Soccer Schools are ready to contribute to youth football development and build world-class players for our country,” said Mosimane.
