Orlando Pirates and Venda Football Academy have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s Nedbank Cup encounter at Orlando Stadium.
A spot in the quarter-finals is up for grabs as the Buccaneers lock horns with Motsepe Foundation Championship side Venda Football Academy.
Pirates look to complete the double in terms of trophies this season after winning the MTN8 earlier in the campaign.
Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi explained the importance of getting an early goal and be in control of the game.
“It’s a cup match the plan and the objective is to go through to the next round,” Ncikazi told the media.
“It’s a very experienced team we have to create the difference between the two teams and being the team that plays into the division below us initiative will be important control is important intensity is important.
“Otherwise, you leave everything to chance, the opponents see an opportunity and it’s important to score early if it’s possible otherwise the opponents grow with confidence so the plan and objective are to go into the next round.”
