Pirates & Royal AM Starting XIs Announced

Orlando Pirates and Royal AM have announced their starting line-ups for this afternoon’s DStv Premiership clash at Orlando Stadium.

The Buccaneers have a chance to open a four-point gap between themselves in second place and SuperSport United in third after Gavin Hunt’s men dropped two points against Stellenbosch FC on Tuesday night.

The Sea Robbers are currently a point clear of SSU but will be keen to open that gap to four points should get maximum points this afternoon.

Jose Riveiro’s side are on a run of six consecutive league wins, and eight successive victories in all competitions.

Coming to a fixture that they’ve been dominating might make things even easier for them after they beat Royal AM twice this season already – 1-0 in the league and 2-1 in the MTN8.

On the other side, Thwihli Thwahla want to seal their place in the top eight after being overtaken by Swallows following their 2-1 win over Kaizer Chiefs.

John Maduka’s side are sitting in ninth position with 33 points. They are coming to this game in complete opposite form to Pirates, losing three out of their last five league games, while they were also knocked out of the Nedbank Cup by Kaizer Chiefs.

Here is how they line up:

Pirates  XI: Chaine, Sibisi, Mthethwa, Shandu, Mako, Makhaula, Ndlondlo, Ratomo, Hotto, Makaringe, Erasmus
