Pirates Man Named In Cosafa Best XI

Bafana Bafana striker Tshegofatso Mabasa has been named in the 2023 Cosafa Cup Best XI.

Mabasa, 26, was confirmed to be in the process of a potential move from Orlando Pirates to Swallows and secured the top scorer award alongside Albert Kangwanda of Zambia as both forwards netted three goals in the competition.

The Chipolopolo star was also named in the best XI, with his nation, who secured a record seventh title unsurprisingly dominating the squad with four players.

Runners-up Lesotho had three representatives in the form of Neo Mokhachane, Thabang Malane, and Sekhone Moerane, while Malawi also had three players to round off the XI.
