Orlando Pirates will face RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup final after the 2019/20 champions produced a stunning comeback over TP Mazembe.

Berkane opened the scoring following a fine strike from Bakr El Helali from inside the box, who sent the crowd at the Stade Municipal de Berkane into wild celebrations.

However, the joy was short-lived as TP Mazembe, who had won the first leg 1-0, immediately struck back a minute later thanks to a fine shot from Philippe Kinzumbi.

With the away-goal rule still intact in CAF competitions, the hosts now needed two goals to advance and their task become easier just after the hour mark.

Tandi Mwape received a red card which resulted in the home side coming with waves of attacks and putting an enormous amount of pressure on the away side’s defence.

But it took until the 79th minute before they found the net when Larbi Naji put them 2-1 ahead but still behind on the away goals ruling.

Mazembe were shaken and lost composure with several rash challenges which eventually resulted in conceding a penalty with five minutes remaining in the game.

Winger Youssef El Fahli stepped up and duly slotted the spot-kick past Baggio Saidi despite him guessing the right way to send the home supporters into ecstasy.

The game finished 4-1 on the evening and 4-2 on aggregate after El Fahli netted his second into an empty net in stoppage-time as Florent Ibenge secured yet another continental final on his already glittering CV.

Berkane will now face Pirates on Friday, 20, May at the Godswil Akpagbio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria, to be crowned Confederation Cup champions.
