Orlando Pirates have launched an appeal to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) after being found guilty of man-handling TS Galaxy Chairman Tim Sukazi at Orlando Stadium.

The PSL DC ruled in favour of the Rockets and Sukazi over the controversial incident that transpired in Orlando in December in which he was denied access to the stadium.

PSL Proscecuter Advocate Zola Majavu has now confirmed in an official statement that Pirates are appealing the decision after being issued a fine R100,000 of which was suspended over a duration of one year, should they not be found guilty for a similar offence as well as providing the costs of the hearing seatings.

“Orlando Pirates has elected to take the DC ruling in respect of its case pertaining to the manhandling of Mr Sukazi on appeal as they are perfectly entitled to do so,” Majavu confirmed on Thursday.

“The appeal would be adjudicated under the auspices of SAFA and once that matter has been finalised, I will confirm the outcome thereof.”
