Pirates & AmaZulu Starting XIs Announced

Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu FC have announced their starting line-ups for this evening’s DStv Premiership fixture at Orlando Stadium.

It’s been over 270 minutes for the Pirates to score a goal across all competitions, while it’s over 450 minutes since Usuthu last won a league match.

Both sides need to return to their winning ways, with the Buccaneers coming to this game with a bad record against KwaZulu Natal-based clubs this season, having suffered defeats Maritzburg United and Chippa United, while playing to a draw against newly-promoted side Richards Bay and only managing to beat Royal AM.

However, they have a great head-to-head record against AmaZulu, beating them in their last five successive clashes and are unbeaten against them in their last 15 games since 2013 (eight wins, seven draws).

Usuthu will start their new chapter under coach Roman Folz who has been appointed four days ago after the departure of Brandon Truter.

The Frenchman was previously with Marumo Gallants in the beginning of the season but had left the club over claims of some interference from the management.‪

Here’s how they line up:

Orlando Pirates XI: Ofori, Ndah, Sibisi, Maela, Shandu, Hotto, Timm, Motshwari, Ndlondlo, Saleng, Erasmus.

Subs: Mpontshane, Xoki, Mako, Makaringe, Makgaka, Dlamini, Makgopa, Lepasa, Peprah

AmaZulu FC XI: Mothwa, Sikhakhane, Hanamub, Mphahlele, Mobara, Buchanan, Makhaula, Maluleka, Maduna, Kwem, Majoro.

Subs: Mzimela, Khumalo, Mabiliso, Malepe, Brooks, Magaia, Kunene, Bwalya, Ndlovu.
