Wednesday 19 July marked the official South African premiere for the new Barbie Movie.

PRETTY IN PINK
Hosted by music corporation and record label Warner Music Africa, the Barbie Movie Premiere was held at the Mall of Africa.
In various shades of pink, the Barbiecore event was indeed a night to remember. South African “Barbie’s” and “Kens” showed up and showed out in their Barbie inspired outfits.
Various styles and renditions of the Barbie and Ken wardrobe catalogue were spotted as guests made their way to the Pink Carpet.
According to IOL, the star-studded event was a content creator’s playground.
Apart from the official screening of the movie, the event had a Barbie box photo booth as well as a spectacular pink carpet that was rolled out for guests.

Celebs and influencer did not come to play! Here are four of our favourite looks from the exclusive event in Johannesburg.
Media personality Kim Jayde wore a bright fuchsia pink leather skirt together with a matching biker jacket. Kim completed her look with gold accessories and pink sneakers.
Faith Nketsi wore a light baby pink bedazzled cropped jacket with a short matching skirt over a skintight shiny bodysuit.
Pamela Mtanga emulated “disco barbie” in a pink sparkly sheer retro jumpsuit. Pamela completed her look with a long pink fur shawl wrap.
Looking gorgeous in red, influencer Mbali Mkhize wore a short red bodycon dress paired with silver accessories.
