According to Daily Sun, Hillary Gardee’s boyfriend, Muxe Zitha, who is 28 years old and from Thulamahashe near Bushbuckridge, Mpumalanga, is getting ready to sue the police for wrongfully arresting him and torturing him, which he says happened. There was mixed feeling however after his photo was posted on social media and some people made fun of his appearance.

Hillary, who was 28 years old and the daughter of the former EFF secretary general Goodrich Gardee, was found dead near a plantation in Lydenburg. She had apparently gone missing on Friday, April 29, in the Nelspruit CBD.

“I’m talking to my lawyers about suing the police for wrongfully arresting me and torturing me for no reason. At first, the police said they were helping me find queen Hillary, and we went looking for her together. But I was shocked when, a few days later, the same police who were supposed to protect me beat me, tortured me, and wrongly accused me of killing her. I had internal injuries, which the doctors confirmed, and they put me on a drip and gave me medicine. I don’t trust the police anymore, and I’m not safe from them anymore. “I loved her so much, how can I kill her?” he asked.

He said that on Wednesday morning, May 4, he got a call from a police officer who said he was the officer in charge of the case. He said that the cop wanted to meet at the Nelspruit police station. On his way there, the cop called him again to change when they would meet at the Hazyview police station.

But he said that when he got there, the police officer and two other officers put him in handcuffs and took his phone and laptop. They then threw him into a VW Polo and drove him to the provincial police office, he said. Later, around 8 pm, they dropped him off at the Nelspruit police station.

There, he met a group of police officers, and one of them is said to have beaten him up in the boardroom.
