South African motorists can expect some relief at the pumps ahead of the Easter break, with a significant drop in petrol price in April.
The price of petrol is projected to decrease by almost R1 per litre, according to the latest estimates. For months, high fuel costs have strained the budgets of many South Africans, so this reduction will help ease some of that pressure on consumers.
This relief comes at a crucial time, as many families are preparing to travel for Easter holidays. According to the Central Energy Fund, the cuts in petrol prices are mainly driven by lower international oil prices and a relatively stable rand.
