Peter Shalulile opens up on failed move away from Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile has broken his silence on a failed move that would have seen him leave Chloorkop.

Just weeks ago, Shalulile was linked with a number of clubs, including Esperance de Tunis among others.

However, the proposed move failed to materialise and Shalulile returned to Sundowns to continue with his life.

While Shalulile was keen to leave Sundowns, he admits that he made up his mind to return to Chloorkop in the last minute of his possible transfer.

The Namibia international has since broken Siyabonga Nomvethe’s long-standing PSL goalscoring record and set a new one with his two goals this season.

“I won’t lie to you… I’m back, things didn’t go well. We were discussing and negotiating, paper work and all that,” Shalulile told the club’s media department as per iDiski Times.

“I decided to call the Chairman and rather let me come back, add my experience and fight for my position.”
