Award-winning broadcaster Penny Lebyane returns to screens as a TV host of SABC2’s brand-new talk show, Eintlik Let’s Connect, set to premiere on February 9.

Penny, alongside RSG DJ and former 50/50 presenter Fran-Rico Lucas, will connect with Mzansi in open conversations and meaningful dialogues from 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm.

According to TVSA, Eintlik Let’s Connect promises to dive straight into the heart of what South Africans are talking about right now – blending trending topics, uplifting and inspirational stories, deep, meaningful conversations and those heartwarming, in-depth feel-good features that leave you smiling.

With real voices, authentic connections, and everyday South African stories taking centre stage, the show keeps things lively, relatable, and genuinely engaging – all wrapped up with some of the most exciting giveaways.

The show will also travel around South Africa, engaging with current events, celebrating local culture, and showcasing the country’s best: its people, energy, and resilience.

In an interview shared by TVSA, Penny said to be back on SABC2 with a daily platform like Eintlek Let’s Connect is everything she has worked towards in the last 25 years in the media industry.

“It is more than a show; it is a space for real talk, real people, and real connection. After the last few years I’ve had, this isn’t just a job; it’s a fresh start and a chance to build something meaningful with South Africa every single day. It’s a homecoming,” said Penny.

Fran-Rico added: “Coming back to television feels like a full circle moment. From 50/50 to now being part of Eintlek Let’s Connect, alongside Penny Lebyane, it feels like returning home. Television has always been a dream, one I have carried since childhood, and seeing that dream unfold on SABC2 is incredibly special.”

He also shared that viewers can expect a show that is vibrant and deeply rooted with South African nuances. It is aimed at creating space for honest conversations, shared experiences, and moments that reflect who we are as people.

“The show also gives me the opportunity to celebrate shared meals and simple moments, from everyday dinners in the kitchen to round table conversations that bring people together. We will be cooking in people’s homes, visiting different spaces, and experiencing everything from a family kitchen to a local restaurant. It is about staying in touch with what people care about, what they need to know, and what they would love to taste,” he said.
