Pele discharged from hospital | Breaking News

The world football icon Pele has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for a colon tumour.

Pele was admitted to Sao Paulo’s Hospital Albert Einstein a fortnight ago.

Eight days after his admission, doctors detected a urinary tract infection, which extended his stay.

However, the hospital has stated that the 81-year-old Brazil legend was now in a “stable clinical condition.”

The former Santos frontman had prostate surgery in 2015 after he was admitted to the hospital for the second time in six months, and he was back in again for a urinary infection in 2019.
