Pearl Thusi’s daughter sparks debate with bold dating stance

Pearl Thusi’s daughter, Thandolwethu “Thando” Mokoena, recently set social media alight with a playful yet firm declaration about dating.

The 18-year-old podcaster and content creator, who recently joined the cast of Youngins, posted a video on her Instagram account where she made it clear: she will never pay for a date.

In the video, Thando joked, “I want this to be a PSA to every man out there who’s planning on taking me out; don’t ever expect me to have my wallet on me. I’m not whipping out my Apple Pay. What I will do is if you ask me to pay for something, I’mma say, ‘Are you serious?’ and walk away and book my Uber home, thanks.”

Her message quickly sparked a mix of reactions. Some praised her confidence and unapologetic stance, while others questioned whether such a statement was appropriate for someone her age.

Adding another layer to the conversation, Thando’s caption read: “For women though the rules differ (for relatability, not referring to myself, lol).”
