- BOSA has established a dedicated email hotline (education@bosa.org.za) to bypass bureaucracy and capture real-time reports on school placement delays, infrastructure failures, and resource shortages.
- All gathered evidence will be presented directly to the Minister of Basic Education and Parliament to demand urgent intervention for learners currently stranded by administrative backlogs.
- Beyond immediate relief, the initiative drives a broader push for radical reform, including raising the national pass mark to 50% and establishing an independent education ombudsman.
Two weeks into the 2026 academic year, thousands of South African learners remain unplaced due to administrative backlogs, prompting Build One South Africa (BOSA) to launch a “Schools Complaints Hotline” at education@bosa.org.za.
This initiative provides a direct channel for parents, teachers, and students to report critical issues including infrastructure failure, sanitation problems, and textbook shortages which BOSA pledges to escalate directly to the Minister of Basic Education and Parliament.
Beyond addressing immediate placement delays, the party is advocating for systemic reform to tackle the national education crisis, calling for the replacement of the 30% pass mark with a 50% minimum and the establishment of an independent education ombudsman.
Despite an annual budget exceeding R300 billion, BOSA argues that inefficient resource allocation continues to fail students, and they remain committed to using this firsthand feedback to demand urgent, corrective action from the government.
