Orlando Pirates news: Mbatha, Mbule and Nduli

Orlando Pirates star Thalente Mbatha has valued Sipho Mbule for his two Betway Premiership titles and the African Football League under his belt from Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 25-year-old Mbatha believes Mbule’s experience at the top level is exactly what Orlando Pirates need to chase the championship.

The KwaMashu-born midfielder, previously with Highlands Park and SuperSport United, also took the moment to value another new Buccaneer in Sihle Nduli.

Thalente Mbatha’s views:

  • Mbule’s trophies bring invaluable experience to Orlando Pirates.
  • Nduli adds grit, competitiveness, and a winning mentality.
  • The new arrivals strengthen the squad as Orlando Pirates target the Betway Premiership.

“It’s important to have such players who are used to winning,” Mbatha said via iDiski Times. “Look at Sipho Mbule as an example, at Sundowns, he was winning the league there, he knows what it takes to win a league, we benefit from that experience.

“We have Sihle Nduli, who comes from Stellenbosch, a team where they were used to winning. They give every team a run, not just Pirates, but [Kaizer] Chiefs, Sundowns, the league winners.

“So, it’s something great for us to have all these new players going into the new season,” the Orlando Pirates midfield maestro concluded.
