Orlando Pirates are in Algeria for the first leg of their CAF Champions League quarterfinal clash with MC Alger.
Kick-off at Stade du 5 Juillet is at 21:00 SA time.
Now, Pirates coach Jose Riveiro has decided to tag along new gem Yanga Madiba for this encounter.
Madiba has been named on the bench against MC Alger, and he could be unleashed for his debut tonight.
The 23-year-old has been training with the first team for a while now, and it appears he has done enough to get a deal.
Madiba’s promotion to the first team comes at a time when Pirates youth products are doing well for the club.
Relebohile Mofokeng headlines that list alongside Mohau Nkota who have both taken the PSL by storm this season.
In recent months, Riveiro has also unleashed right-back Siyabonga Ndlozi and left centre-back Mbekezeli Mbokazi.
And Madiba’s addition to the roster means Pirates are taking a direction to turn their own nurtured youngsters into superstars.
Meanwhile, Pirates will be without influential midfielder Patrick Maswanganyi for this encounter against MC Alger.
According to a statement from the club, Maswanganyi suffered an injury at training and, therefore, could not travel to Algeria with the rest of his Pirates teammates.
