  • Orlando Pirates midfielder Karim Kimvuidi has been loaned to Israeli club FC Ashdod for the season.
  • The deal includes an option for FC Ashdod to make the move permanent.
  • This comes after Kimvuidi struggled to secure a regular place in the Buccaneers’ starting line-up.

Orlando Pirates have confirmed that midfielder Karim Kimvuidi has completed a season-long loan move to Israeli Premier League side FC Ashdod.

The deal includes an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the term.

The 23-year-old Congolese international’s departure comes after a season where he struggled to cement a regular place in the Buccaneers’ starting line-up.

Signed from Maritzburg United in 2023, Kimvuidi made a total of 15 appearances across all competitions last season, with only eight of those coming in the league.

While he showed flashes of his talent, including a man-of-the-match performance against Golden Arrows, he was unable to find consistent form under manager Jose Riveiro.

The move abroad will offer Kimvuidi a fresh start and the opportunity for more game time.
