Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has admitted he is keen to work with Relebohile Mofokeng amidst widespread speculation on his future.
The 20-year-old winger has been the subject of increasing transfer interest, with clubs from around the globe reportedly monitoring his situation, thanks to 12 goals and 15 assists last season.
The Sharpville-born attacker is strongly linked with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ettifaq, the same team that signed Mohau Nkota in July.

“I read this news as well, and with such a talented player, of course he’ll attract a lot of clubs,” Ouaddou said at the Betway Premiership 2025/26 season launch.

“But I trust my board, because he’s definitely one of our major players this season.
“As a coach, I’m still confident — but you never know in football what can happen. Right now I’m confident, since I have not received any information that he will be leaving. I hope he will stay with us — but we will see,” the Orlando Pirates mentor concluded.
In the meantime, the Buccaneers are preparing for the league season opener against Sekhukhune United this weekend. The game is set for the Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 8 August at 15:00.
