Operation Dudula Vows To Retaliate After Their Member Was Shot Dead

Following the fatal shooting of an Operation Dudula member, police in Limpopo have arrested three people.

A 43-year-old member of Operation Dudala was killed when the movement came under fire.  According to preliminary investigations, Operation Dudula members from the Gauteng Province arrived at the Jane Furse RDP sports complex on Saturday to launch their movement and to deliver the memorandum to the local Police Management.

The group was traveling in a bus that stopped at a designated location to pick up the female participants who were staying in various houses at the RDP Section.

Their bus was allegedly attacked and damaged with stones by an unidentified group of people as they were returning to the sports field.

“The bus was then stopped and some passengers alighted from the bus and ran after the attackers when an unknown member of the community shot one of the members who died instantly.

“The incident led to the cancellation of planned activities in the area and resulted in members of the Public Order Policing Unit (POPS), Tactical Response Team (TRT) and police members from the District being deployed to monitor the situation,” said Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.

According to Mojapelo, police carried out an intelligence-driven operation early on Sunday morning at around 5:00 am, and three suspects (two men and a woman) were apprehended in different locations.

Additional information was provided to police regarding a second suspect who was allegedly making threats against customers at a liquor store in the same RDP neighborhood.

“On arrival, the suspect started running and in the process, he allegedly produced a firearm and aimed at the police who then responded by fatally wounding him.

“The suspect, (25), was allegedly found in possession of two loaded pistols and was positively linked to the murder.”

Operation Dudula will forever cherish your dedication to the advocacy of a safer South Africa. Today you are a martyr. Today you are King. For every tear, your family cries an illegal alien will fall. We will avenge”.
