Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Venda Football Academy have appointed Simo Dladla as their head coach to replace Michael Loftman who had resigned last month.

Dladla also only recently left unbeaten Uthongathi after failing to agree on issues at the club, and replaces Loftman who was the first coach in the MFC to resign this season.

Former TS Sporting coach Kabelo Sibiya, who had been Loftman’s assistant, had been serving as the interim coach in the meantime.

Dladla is a former Real Kings and Richards Bay coach, who also served as assistant to Brandon Truter at Swallows, having a brief spell in charge when Truter was put on special leave.

“Venda Football Academy (VFA) is delighted to announce the appointment of Sydney Simo Dladla as new Head coach with immediate effect,” VFA’s statement read.

“The Head coach position became vacant after the previous coach’s resignation last month.

“Dladla is a seasoned coach with vast experience. His coaching history shows that VFA has appointed the right person who knows and understands local football.”

VFA are currently 13th on the log table, having lost five of the seven games so far, whilst winning two.
