The quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League were drawn in Nyon today.
Eight teams have qualified for this stage of the competition, including record champions Real Madrid as well as last season’s winners Chelsea.
Spain and England both have three representatives in Real, Atletico Madrid and Villarreal as well as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City, respectively, with Bayern Munich and Benfica up the rest of the quarter-finalists.
At this stage, the draw was open, meaning any team could be drawn against anyone.
The standout fixture of the draw has paired defending champions Chelsea with record winners Real Madrid again, after the Blues knocked out Los Blancos from last year’s competition.
Below is the full draw:
Chelsea vs Real Madrid
Manchester City vs Atletico Madrid
Villarreal vs Bayern Munich
Benfica vs Liverpool
The quarter-final first legs will be played on 5 and 6 April, while the second legs will take place on 12 and 13 April.
The semi-finals were also drawn already:
Semi-final 1: winners of Man City/Atlético vs winners of Chelsea/Real Madrid
Semi-final 2: winners of Benfica/Liverpool vs winners of Villarreal/Bayern
The semi-finals are scheduled for 26 and 27 April, with the return fixtures set for 3 and 4 May.
This year’s final will take place at the State de France in Paris after UEFA took the hosting rights of St. Petersburg following Russia invasion of Ukraine.
