Official: Swallows Appoint Middendorp – iDiski Times

Swallows have announced the appointment of former Kaizer Chiefs and Maritzburg United coach Ernst Middendorp.

The German tactician penned a three-year deal with the Soweto giants, the club confirmed on Thursday.

Swallows become Middendorp’s seventh club in South Africa after Maritzburg, Chiefs, Free State Stars, Chippa United, Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows.

Middendorp was last in charge of the Team of the Choice, whom he left in June 2022.

The 64-year-old, throughout his career in the PSL with a close to 400 matches in charge – more than any other foreign coach, has won only two trophies, namely the ABSA Cup and SAA Super 8.
