ABC Motsepe League side BCM Stars based in the Eastern Cape have lured Thamsanqa Sangweni to the club for the rest of the 2021/22 season.
Sangweni, 32, has been in search of a new deal with DStv Premiership club Marumo Gallants in recent weeks after being released for Chippa United for the umpteenth time.
Having represented nine clubs over the course of his journey-man career in South African football, BCM Stars have secured a massive coup highlighting their ambitions for the future.
“The club is pleased to announce the signing of Thamsanqa Sangweni. Thamsanqa Sangweni previously played for teams like Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Chippa United,” the statement read on social media.
Sangweni is the younger brother of former Bafana Bafana and Pirates defender Siyabonga – who represented South Africa at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
