Former Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu winger Luvuyo Memela has signed for newly promoted DStv Premiership outfit Richards Bay Football Club.
Memela, 34, was released at the end of last season by Usuthu after a breakdown in contract talks – this after wining the Player of the Season, top scorer with nine goals in 37 games.
The club looked to reopen talks for a sensational return this week but the veteran attacker has opted for a move to the Natal Richboyz.
“We would like to take this opportunity and confirm the signing of Midfielder Luvuyo Memela, who was on the books of AmaZulu,” the club statement read on Thursday evening.
Memela was present at the open media day at the Motsepe Foundation Championship title winners, where the club also unveiled their home and away kits for the 2022/23 season.
