Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly winger Luis Miquissone has joined Tanzanian giants Simba SC.
Miquissone, 27, was lovely linked with Kaizer Chiefs as well, even though his agent Thato Matuka quickly squashed those rumours on social media.
“This is not true, there no talks with Chiefs re Luis. My proximity to the coach doesn’t guarantee anyone favours.. Just wait for the right time, we will make pronouncements on Luis’ future,” he stated on twitter.
Miquissone was released by Al Ahly earlier in the week after he was signed by Pitso Mosimane following a standout season with Simba SC in 2020/21.
He has now returned to his former club, with insiders saying the 27-year-old only wanted to return to Simba.
The Mozambique international made 28 appearances for Ahly, scoring five goals. Last season, though, he was on loan at Abha Club but only made four appearances in the Saudi Pro League.
Before his stints with Al Ahly and Simba, Miquissone was signed by Sundowns in January 2018 but was loaned out to Chippa United. Two more loan stints at Royal Eagles and UD Songo in his home country followed.
