Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Luvuyo Phewa has joined Cape Town Spurs on a six-month loan deal, as earlier reported by iDiski Times.

The attacking midfielder spent last season on loan at AmaTuks in the second tier, scoring an impressive 10 league goals before returning to Chloorkop.

Injury prevented him from joining up with the first team and upon his recovery, All Stars and Cape Town Spurs both enquired about his availability.

However, he has now completed a move to promotion-chasing Spurs, who unveiled their new signing on Tuesday, as reported by iDiski Times on Deadline Day.

They currently sit in third place in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, just three points behind second-placed Polokwane City and five behind leaders Casric Stars after 17 games.

Spurs are again in action on Friday when they will face Motsepe Foundation Championship side Baroka in the Nedbank Cup.
