Official: Chiefs Make Major Coach Announcement

Kaizer Chiefs have made a major announcement on Thursday morning, confirming that Arthur Zwane will take over as permanent head coach of the club.

 

Amakhosi had invited South African media to a “special announcement and update” this morning, with Lorenz Kohler representing iDiski Times at the FNB Stadium.

Football manager, Bobby Motaung, Head of Technical and Youth Development, Molefi Ntseki and Sporting director, Kaizer Motaung Jr. are in attendance.

Many expected Amakhosi to announce the permanent replacement of Stuart Baxter, with Arthur Zwane believed to the frontrunner for the job and 10111 was indeed confirmed as the club’s new head coach.

“Coach Zwane will be the head coach of Kaizer Chiefs on a three-year deal, effectively immediately,” Vina Maposa confirmed during the presser.

Zwane, alongside Dillon Sheppard, took over from Baxter for the final seven games of the season, losing his first three before seeing the campaign out with two wins and two draws.
