Former Zamalek and TP Mazembe head coach Patrice Carteron has been unveiled at Qatar Stars League side Umm Salal.
The Frenchman who holds extensive experience in Africa, having won seven titles on the continent including the CAF Champions League with Mazembe was linked with moves to Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs in recent weeks.
While that initial interest didn’t lead to anything, Carteron has now agreed terms with the Qatari outfit ahead of next season.
The club confirmed his appointment via social media, which marks his fifth club in the pasts four years in a nomadic management career.
