Baroka president Khurishi Mphahlele has confirmed that Vincent Kobola will stay in charge of the club despite their relegation to the GladAfrica Championship.
Mphahlele admitted that he’s taking full responsibility for keeping Kgoloko Thobejane on too long, and insisted his replacement Kobola has his club’s full backing going forward.
“I will take the blame because I had too much patience. We should have acted earlier with Vincent Kobola. It all rests squarely on my shoulders. This wont happen again,” he told Robert Marawa on Mawara Sports Worldwide.
“We are definitely keeping Kobola. He is one of the young coaches with potential and we will give him support.
“Kobola will work hard to identify players to replace those who are leaving.”
The Baroka president also dismissed any talk that Bakgakga could take a shortcut to the DStv Premiership status by buying a status.
“We will never buy status. If we can’t succeed why should we buy success? We would rather work for success,” he added.
