Nurkovic Speaks After Chiefs Exit

Kaizer Chiefs striker Samir Nurkovic has spoken for the first time since Amakhosi confirmed they will not extend his contract.

The 29-old-striker will leave Naturena after spending three years with the Glamour Boys. Overall, he has netted 21 goals and set up another 10 in 78 appearances for the club.

However, he is one of eight players Kaizer Chiefs have released so far, the other being Lazalous Kambole, Lebogang Manyama, Leonardo Castro, Kearyn Baccus, Daniel Akpeyi, Daniel Cardoso and Sibusiso Zuma.

‘Kokota Piano’ as he’s affectionally known has thanked his former club as well as the Amakhosi faithful for their support,” he wrote.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone at Kaizer Chiefs for everything we shared since day one,”

“And a special thank you to the Amakhosi fans who have always supported me on and off the pitch. We went trough ups and downs together and your support meant everything to me.

“THANK YOU!

“Best regards, Kokota Piano.”
