Nota comments on Andile the Calculator

Andile, along with his father, Xolani Mbambo, appeared on Newzroom Afrika, which shared a snippet of its interview with the father and son. In the clip posted on 21 June 2026, the proud father quizzed his son on a few addition and multiplication equations, which many children at four are unable to answer.

Nota, who often does not keep his opinions to himself, responded and wrote, “Simple maths…”

Several social media users gathered in the comment section to express their thoughts about what Nota had to say.

@Tlhalefo_B added under the post, “At least you’re consistent with your hatred. It doesn’t matter if you’re a toddler, millionaire, or broke.”

“This brother hates on almost everything, he doesn’t choose,” shared @MindMusta.

@DeAnunaki8964 told Nota, “That’s not maths. This is a gift.”

“Professional hater, for real,” added @Puse_letsoooo.

More about Andile the Calculator

During the Newzroom Afrika interview, Xolani explained that he first realised his son’s remarkable talent earlier this year while assisting Andile’s older brother with mathematics homework. To his surprise, it was the four-year-old who repeatedly answered the questions before anyone else could.

The father recalled being amazed by how quickly Andile understood new mathematical concepts and how easily he remembered them, even after being introduced to them only once.
