Music executive Nota Baloyi handed himself over to Randburg police on Friday after actress Itumeleng Bokaba accused him of raping her.
“Handing myself in at Randburg police station and hoping for the best,” Baloyi shared on X.
“Please keep me in your prayers. This is officially the worst day of my life.”
Bokaba recently spoke up about the alleged incident. She had initially wanted to keep it private, but gossip blogger Musa Khawula made it public.
“I know everyone is concerned and panicked right now, but I want to assure you that I’m okay,” she posted on Instagram.
“This situation occurred before the ‘Mayibabo’ saga last week, and isn’t connected—just bad timing,” said the former Rhythm City star.
“I want to state my case in front of a qualified judge who is educated on the matters of consent, sexual offences, and the psychology of rape. I refuse to engage in a popularity contest.”
Baloyi added on social media: “Anything that happened was consensual and was initiated by her, not me.”
