Nonku Williams addresses Jojo Robinson friendship drama

Reality TV star Nonku Williams has broken her silence following the controversy surrounding her recent comments about fellow Real Housewives of Durban castmate, Jojo Robinson.

In a heartfelt statement shared online, Nonku clarified that her words were taken out of context and never intended to undermine the bond she shares with Jojo.

“I never intended to denounce our friendship or diminish the value that Jojo has brought to my life,” Nonku wrote, explaining that her use of the term “surface level” was a poor choice of words during a conversation that aired on the show.

Acknowledging the challenges of navigating real relationships in the high-pressure world of reality television, she noted, “A lot of things can be taken out of context to make for a ‘spicy show’… unfortunately, my statement was blown out of proportion.”

Nonku expressed regret for any pain her remarks may have caused, noting that as she’s grown spiritually, she’s begun to approach parts of her life more privately.

“Some things deserve to remain sacred,” she added, while emphasizing that this doesn’t mean she values Jojo any less.

“Jojo brings out a playful and childlike side of me… our journey has been filled with love, laughter, and real connection,” she said, also revealing that the two have had honest conversations about the difficulty of balancing reality TV with real-life friendship.

While she acknowledged that she may turn to other friends in moments of deep spiritual need, Nonku was clear: “It’s not because I don’t trust Jojo, but because each friendship has its own unique role and dynamic.”

The star shared that she has already reached out to Jojo and hopes they can meet soon to reconnect.

“Every friendship has its seasons, lessons, and growing pains, and I truly hope we can move forward from this with grace.”

Closing her message with love and hope for understanding, Nonku reiterated her commitment to their friendship.

“I love Jojo, and I’m grateful for every laugh, every moment, and every lesson we’ve shared.”

In the caption accompanying her statement, she asked fans to receive her message with empathy:

“These are my sincere sentiments, and I hope you’ll take a moment to read them with understanding and grace… Please respect the vulnerability of what I’ve shared and the love that still exists between us.”
