Despite being in the early stages of recovery, Nomsa has also announced that she is back at work, signalling a positive step as she adjusts to life after the procedure.

Gastric bypass surgery is a weight-loss procedure that changes how the stomach and digestive system process food. Recovery involves following medical guidance, including a carefully managed diet that progresses through different stages as the body heals.

The soft-food stage is part of the dietary progression commonly recommended after bariatric surgery, although the timing and specific foods allowed vary according to the patient’s surgical team and recovery.

Nomsa has not yet shared all the details of her journey but has indicated she intends to open up about the experience and her surgeon.

For now, her latest update focuses on healing, gratitude and getting back into her work routine as she continues her recovery.
