Actress and TV presenter Nomsa Buthelezi shared a distressing video on her Facebook page after learning that she inadvertently gave out her friend’s contact details to a hijacking syndicate member, leading to her hijacking.

The former Generations: The Legacy actress said she received a call from a lady who identified herself as Noluthando. The caller asked if there is anyone she knows who can provide decor services for a wedding, citing that the person who was supposed to do her decor has disappointed her.

Not knowing that the lady was under false pretence, Nomsa recommended her friend and shared her contact details to the lady.

She shared that she later received a call from her friend, where she could hear that her friend was being hijacked. Nomsa said she called the police and shared what was happening, but the police were not willing to help her. A few hours later, Nomsa confirmed that her friend had been found. Her family and the company she works for have asked her to take down the video clip.

“The video really helped me, because the police phoned me and people assisted. But for my peace, I removed the video. All I wanted was my friend to be found. They say they found them.
