Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula says there will be no further extensions for drivers’ license renewals.
But he says efforts will be made to help motorists get their licenses done on time.
Over a million expired licenses have yet to be renewed.
The backlog was caused, in part, by the hard lockdown and problems with the license printing machine.
Meanwhile, Mbalula has applauded motorists on the back for their behaviour during the Easter long weekend.
He says there were fewer prosecutions than previous years.
