Nicki Minaj’s mansion at risk if she misses deadline to pay $500k

Rapper Nicki Minaj is at risk of losing her $20 million (R32,333,200 as of 22 January 2026) mansion if she misses the deadline to pay a former employee over $500,000 (R8,083,300).

In 2019, Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, allegedly assaulted her former security guard, Thomas Weidenmuller, backstage at a concert in Germany.

In 2022, Weidenmuller sued the You See Right Through Me rapper and Petty for the assault.

According to Daily Mail, a $503,000 (R8,131,799) default judgment was issued in favour of Weidenmuller in 2024, which Minaj has yet to respond to as the deadline looms.

In November 2025, Judge Pánuco said she was looking into ordering the sale of Minaj’s Hidden Hill mansion, a decision which is due to be made on 22 January unless the rapper completes the payment to Weidenmüller, reports Daily Mail.

Nicknamed Zoo, Petty has known Minaj since they were teens, before she became a famous rapper, according to People Magazine.

They connected in 2018, after losing touch for years, resulting in a whirlwind romance that resulted in a 2019 marriage and the birth of their son, nicknamed Papa Bear, in 2020.

Minaj, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, last toured South Africa in 2016.
